Sara Taylor - Church Youth Worker
Well, where should I start? My name, as most of you already know, is Sara and I am from the West Midlands. My family and I grew up in the Methodist Church, and it was here that I developed the foundations of my faith. I was always a Church attender, but I truly gave my life to Christ in 1997. Five years ago, after several years of jetsetting, I felt called into Youth Work and Youth Ministry.
In 2004 I was offered the position of Church Youth Worker for Panshanger Church and The Free Church, Welwyn Garden City. It was difficult to leave my family (I miss you guys so much!!), but I knew it was where God wanted me to be. So here I am, with my lovely husband Wayne and chatterbox son, Jake (whom is very much a part of the team)!

Growing up in the Methodist tradition I was fortunate to go to a church in Sheffield when I was a teenage which had a wonderful Friday night youth club and a Sunday evening youth fellowship – and it’s wonderful memories from these times (just a few years ago!!) which was the driving force for me getting involved with U-nite.
We did some crazy things from staging pantomimes, fund raising, weekends away, games nights and many, many discos on a Friday night – followed by good old chip butties from the local shop on the way home. I enjoy spending time with the young people – they are a great bunch with loads of energy, enthusiasm and talent. |

Growing up in Hitchin as the stereotypical teenager, I was fortunate to be introduced to 'Church' in 1994. I gave my life to Christ there and then, aged 17. Over the years my relationship with God has gone from strength to strength, and I am now working voluntarily as the Assistant Youth Pastor at TLC Church in Luton.
Being married to another Youth Worker is great, as it means we can share all our resources! I enjoy helping out with the u-nite youth group, its a challenging way to spend a Sunday evening! |
